Disk Buffer when you download FTP files
Nowadays, the Internet speed is very fast, people use ADSL or VDSL instead of 33.6k modem. the computer is faster than before too, but the bad thing is our hard disk speed is still slowly and not stable. Reading and writing data frequently may damages your HDD.
To protects your HDD with your data, our FTP client added a great feature called "Disk Buffer", when you downloading FTP files from a slow server, it will uses your computer memory first as storage, after the data size reachs 1M or more, writes to your hard disk. this way decreases the disk fragmentation and improves your HDD life.
Enable FTP client disk buffer
First starts your FTP client and press F6 key to displays the Option Dialog, Click the "Compress/Cache" from the "Transfer" node at left side, then you may
set a disk buffer size, set it to zero to disable this feature. Please note: this option is for single connection when downloading.
