What is Ident Server
The Ident Protocol is a TCP/IP server running on user's computer and listening on specified port to accepts incoming requests and sends user's identity back, the default Ident Server port is TCP/IP 113 port.
FTP client with Ident Server
Most private FTP servers requires every user opening the Ident Server and fetchs users's identify by querying the Ident daemon when users try to connecting. the FTP servers refused your login request if the identity not matching the user database in the site.
The FTP client has a build-in Ident Server to accetps identity querys and sends your identity back to the FTP server, the response includes your identify name which already be recorded in the site. But how about you have different identify username on different FTP server? It's not a problem, Our FTP client has the unique feature to allows you setup different identify for single site!
Troubleshooting with Ident Server
Since Ident Protocol requires the incoming connections on your computer, so you must
configure it carefully, we give several suggestions to you as below:
1. Make sure your firewall do not broke the incoming TCP/IP connections from 113 port
2. If you are behind firewall and router, please config your router and firewall to
forward the incoming connections from TCP/IP 113 port to your computer
3. If your router has UPnP option, open it! our FTP client has build-in UPnP Portmapping
and maps the incoming identify querys to your computer automatically
Enable global Ident server with FTP client
To enable global Ident server, starts FTPRush and hits F6 key to displays option
dialog and click "ident" node in the left side.

To use different identify name on single site, hits F3 key in FTP client main interface to displays
Site Manager window, double click the site you want to changing, then click the "Ident" node in the
left side.
